Music App Info : LiveWire Mobile launches Rumpus Android music discovery app

There have been hundreds of music discovery
apps launching on iOS over the last three or four years, but it’s rare to see one go live on Android first. Rumpus is one of them though.

Released by Livewire Mobile as a free download for Android tablets, it promises to “Find info on every album your favorite band has ever made. Discover who their influences are and who they’ve influenced. Who’s in the band? Watch all your favorite videos.”

The app includes the ability to buy tracks using PayPal. It’s a move into consumer apps for Livewire, which is best known for running music downlod stores for mobile operators including Sprint, Virgin Mobile Canada and Telecom New Zealand.
