Meet DataWind's Affordable Tablet, Ubislate 7Ri

DataWind, the
company associated with Aakash and UbiSlate
launched four new Android tablets last week.
The new tablets fall between the Rs 3,499 and
Rs 4,799 price bracket. Facing the ire of the
frustrated customers who are waiting for
their pre-ordered devices for several months
now, tablets from DataWind have been in the
news more for the unpleasant reasons. It will
be interesting to see what buzz these new
products will create in the market. EFYTimes
experienced the Ubislate 7Ri tablet at the
recently held tablets and smartphones fair-
ICOMM 2012. We bring you the first look of the
UbiSlate 7Ri tablet.
It is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor
and runs Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The
tablets feature a 17.78-cm (7-inch) resistive
display along with 512MB RAM. Also, the device
includes Wi-Fi connectivity for Internet
access.
