MapMyIndia, Telenav Offers Location
Search To iPhone
The app provides users to search house
numbers in 18 cities, 579,000 towns and
villages, and also allows to navigate
through streets across 1,200 cities.
MyIndia in a tie up with Telenav, a personal navigation company is going to launch an app for iPhone, offering house number search and offering.
This app will be India's first app to allow
navigation by house number search. Rohan Verma, director, MapmyIndia says, "The
exciting partnership between MapmyIndia and
Telenav has resulted in India's first app that
offers house number search and navigation. Our aim is to let more and more people experience how navigation simplifies their daily lives."
Hassan Wahla, vice president of business
development, Telenav Inc says, "With the
growth in smartphones and 3G data
connectivity, India is a fast-growing market
for mobile navigation and we believe that this
navigation app is a must have on every
smartphone."
Telenav's MapMyIndia app offers turn by turn
GPS navigation and easy access to places for
discovery. It consists of cloud based
information, which is updated accordingly and
allows one to search any location or place by
category or name. Places could be houses,
hospitals, hotels, restaurants, ATMs etc. It also enables users to add maximum desired location in the list of favorities.
