China's largest telecommunications and
networking equipment supplier is sharply eyeing
the Indian smartphone market. Besides the
Ideos, Sonic and a few other mobile phones, the
company also has the MediaPad tablet to its
kitty. Matching the likes of phones from
Samsung, Sony, Nokia in the sub-20K segment,
Huawei has recently introduced its flagship
smartphone—Honor. The name itself should
have given a lot of pride to the company but
will the handset concede the same to its users,

Overview
The Huawei Honor is powered by a 1.4 GHz
single core Qualcomm Scorpion processor and
512 MB RAM. Such a duo of processor and RAM
packed beneath this device give an above-
average smartphone experience. Running
multiple apps and switching between them is
also reasonably smooth. Alongside, the regular
features of 3G, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, micro-USB,
support for DLNA and Wi-Fi tethering come as
a handy advantage. The phone runs Android 2.3,
however the company offers update to Android
4.0 too.
